Original Bontrager RaceLite

http://home.austin.rr.com/johnandhania/mtb.html

One of the last frames to come out of the Santa Cruz factory before they were purchased by Trek and shutdown. Frame color is Midnight Blue. Tube decals were removed to reduce theft risk. Replacement decals can be found on Ebay.

This is a great mountain bike with high end, light weight components and aggressive handling geometry.

Specs: Bontrager RaceLite Handmade Chromoly Frame MEDIUM (super extruded frame NOT intended for hefty riders)

XTR Drive Train (8 spd) XTR hubs XT Rapid fire shifters XT V brakes with ceramic pads Mustang front rim (ceramic) Bontrager Valiant Asymmetric rear wheel (black) with custom DT spoke build (ceramic) Velociraptor tires, 90% tread remaining Bontrager RaceLite handlebars and bar ends Judy XC Front Shock Bontrace Race Stem Shimano 747 SPD pedals

With super thin Chromoly frame and above components, this is a very light bike in the weight class of aluminum but with desired flexibility of chromoly. Bike was tailored for fast riding and climbing. Your full suspension buddies won't be able to hang with you on uphills.

Shifting is smooth and reliable as you would expect from XTR. Actually it shifts better than my road bike. Ceramic V-brakes for faster stops and Asym wheel for added strength with no added weight.

The bike has been well maintained. It was my only mountain bike for many years until I recently acquired another hardtail.

For the same amount of money or more (don't forget about sales tax), you could purchase an inferior entry level bike OR you could pick up this bike with high end components.

Attend IMBA's 24 Hours of D.C.

Mountain bikers are invited to join the newest 24-hour event - IMBA's 24 Hours of Washington, D.C. It's your chance to give something back to the sport. The marathon will take place April 6-7, 2005 in the U.S. capital.

The goal is simple: raise awareness about access and recreation issues and convince lawmakers that mountain biking deserves their support. The fun begins with a party Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. IMBA staff will equip participants with talking points, handouts and lobbying advice. The next morning, we'll hit the halls of Congress and talk to our elected representatives and staff about key legislation and how it impacts mountain biking. Finally, we'll celebrate our success with a Thursday evening shindig.

The effort builds on IMBA's increased activity and leadership in Washington, D.C. - the place where key trail management decisions are made. In 2004, mountain bikers held more than 140 face-to-face meetings with government leaders during the biannual IMBA Summit.

IMBA is dedicated to making the trip affordable. We'll schedule all congressional meetings, coordinate logistics and provide plenty of free food and drink. Attendees will need to cover transportation and lodging costs. For more info and to register visit: http://www.imba.com/resources/washington_dc/24_hours_dc.html

This is a new Fox Float 04 RL, with ProPedal (stable platform, lockout, 200mm. This shock came as part of a warrantee complete bike frame replacement (Marin Attack Trail). If you like to have stable platform AND lockout this is the ticket: the pre 04 Float did not have ProPedal and the new Float RP3 does not have lockout. I personally neither need ProPedal nor lockout. This is why I consider selling it ($250) or trading it (we can work something out) for a 200mm Float RP3.

a Fox Float 04 RL currently costs ~$350, http://www.icyclesusa.com/catalog/new/2004-fox-float-rl-shock.htm for tech spec look here: http://www.foxracingshox.com/BackOffice/UploadedFiles/OwnersManual/ shoxmanual_en04.pdf

Congress Honors Mountain Biking

In an effort to get kids more active and help fight childhood obesity, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a resolution officially declaring "National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day." The legislation is in memory of Jack Doub, a teenage mountain biker from North Carolina.

Promoted by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day encourages adults and cycling clubs to introduce kids to the sport of mountain biking. The day is scheduled for the first Saturday of October each year.

The House adopted House Concurrent Resolution 480 by unanimous consent on Oct. 5, 2004, just three days after IMBA celebrated the first annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. Thousands of kids participated in more than 100 events nationwide and in several other countries.

Congressman Richard Burr of North Carolina introduced the resolution and Mark Udall of Colorado was a cosponsor. Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, Co-Chair of the Congressional Bike Caucus, and Joe Barton of Texas both made speeches in support of the resolution.

The legislation marks one of the few times the sport of mountain biking has received attention from the U.S. Congress.

"We're thrilled that Congress has stepped up to recognize mountain biking and kids," said IMBA communications director Pete Webber. "This will give Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day a huge boost. Mark your calendar now for Oct. 1, 2005."

According to the U.S. Surgeon General, childhood obesity in the U.S. has reached an all-time high and today's youth are less active than ever before. IMBA believes mountain biking builds self-confidence and offers kids and adults an adrenaline-packed adventure while giving them an effective workout.

"Jack Doub saw the need for kids to get off the couch, get outside, and get some exercise. I urge my colleagues to support this legislation," said Congressman Burr.

Visit http://www.imba.com/resources/kids/resolution480.html to read the text of the legislation as well as the speeches of Congressmen Burr, Udall, Barton and Blumenauer.

IMBA's National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is supported by the Jack Doub Memorial Endowment, Schwinn Bicycles and the Goldsmith-Greenfield Foundation. For more information about National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day and local events, please visit http://www.imba.com/resources/kids/index.html

IMBA Announces 2004 Epic Rides

IMBA Epic Rides. The best rides...forever.

Epic rides are why we love mountain biking. They create classic memories and inspire us to save the trails. To fuel this passion, IMBA has selected four outstanding routes as 2004 IMBA Epic Rides, adding to the 28 great rides we've picked since '99. We'll honor each one with a two-day celebration: you're invited!

Epic celebrations are a weekend-long opportunity to bring mountain bikers together to celebrate our sport and great riding. The first day we focus on trailwork, the second on riding and enjoying the fruits of our labor. Participants camp near the trailhead, share meals, riding stories and ideas. The events are co-hosted by local mountain bike clubs and IMBA.

2004 IMBA Epic selections and celebration dates:

- Mid Mountain Trail, Park City, Utah - Sept. 11-12 - Skookum Flats, Enumclaw, Washington - Sept. 24-25 - Buffalo Creek Trails, Pine, Colorado - Oct. 9-10 - Tanasi Trails, Ocoee, Tennessee - Nov. 13-14

Dale’s Pale Ale Cans-for-Bikes Drive Yields Many Cans, Big Energy Savings

Colorado mountain biker aims to be first to recycle 3,501 Dale’s Pale Ale cans and win a free Maverick American bike

Lyons, Colorado) Last October, Oskar Blues Brewery founder Dale Katechis sought a head-turning way to encourage customers to recycle cans of Dale’s Pale Ale, the nation’s first hand-canned craft beer. His novel idea: the first three people to turn in 3,501 empty cans (one pallet’s worth) of Dale’s Pale Ale win a customized mountain bike from Boulder, Colorado’s Maverick American.

The one-year promotion ends October 31, and a few of the state’s trail-riding Dale’s Pale Ale fans are racing to ride off with the three prizes.

Leading the pack is Mike LeBeau, a 28-year-old Estes Park, Colorado man. A competition mountain biker on weekends, LeBeau earns a living doing trail maintenance for Rocky Mountain National Park, and fighting wild fires with the Alpine Hot Shots.

He’s a fan of Oskar Blues Brewery’s “gonzo canned beer” and gonzo recycling: LeBeau has turned in nearly 3,000 empty Dale’s Pale Ale cans to Oskar Blues Brewery. He’s the leader in the company’s recycling competition.

“I want that Maverick bike,” LeBeau says. “It’s beautiful, there’s no other bike like it. And I appreciate the beauty of a handmade local product, whether it’s a killer beer or a killer mountain bike.”

Leaders in Colorado’s recycling community appreciate the environmental efforts of Oskar Blues. The microbrewer is the first in the United States to can its own beer and make the aluminum can its primary package for off-premise sales.

“Oskar Blues has led the microbrewing trade into the can segment,” says Jack DeBell, Director of Recycling Services at the University of Colorado at Boulder. “It’s huge for recycling. The company knows that good business and environmental responsibility go hand-in-hand.”

The company’s cans-for-bikes effort does great things for the environment.

“Aluminum cans are the most efficient, money-generating form of recyclable packaging,” DeBell says. “Each recycled can saves the energy equivalent of 8 ounces of gasoline, so each bike winner saves the planet 218 gallons of gas.”

LeBeau is not draining all of those cans by himself. “I show up with at least four or five cases of Dale’s Pale Ale whenever I go to a party,” he says. “I’ve made a lot of new friends up here in the Park.”

In exchange for his uncanny hospitality, LeBeau gets the empty Dale’s Pale Ale cans. In the next few weeks he’ll use those cans to claim one of the Maverick ML-7 bikes, custom painted with Dale’s Pale Ale graphics.

Maverick bikes are the creation of Paul Turner, Maverick American’s founder. Turner gained a place in biking history in the Nineties by creating the RockShox front fork, a suspension fork that changed mountain biking forever.

His aluminum-frame Maverick bikes feature patented front and rear suspension systems, and other innovations that wow mountain biking enthusiasts and Turner and his staff. “Dale and his crew have the same mentality that we have at Maverick,” Turner says. “Both of our companies are driven by an overwhelming desire to have a blast and pass it on.”

Oskar Blues founder Dale Katechis rides a Maverick in the mountains surrounding Lyons, Colorado. “They are the ultimate mountain bike for serious riders,” Katechis says. “Like us, Maverick does incredible things with aluminum.”

Katechis is proud of the recycling and environmental merits of his canned wonders. “We have a new slogan,”” Katechis says, “for our canned beers: ‘A snub to OPEC in every can.’”

America’s first hand-canned craft beer, Dale’s Pale Ale (6.5% ABV) is an assertive, hoppy thriller made with European malts and four strains of American hops. It has changed the way beer lovers perceive canned beer. Its numerous honors include “Top Industry Story of the Year” from Celebrator Beer News.

IMBA Launches New Logo and Ad Campaign

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) has unveiled a comprehensive new marketing effort that includes new logos, graphics, slogans and advertisements.

It's all the product of a new partnership with award-winning advertising firm Carmichael Lynch. The goal: build a higher awareness for IMBA and recruit new members.

The new IMBA logo is a simple, strong image with a modern vibe. Accompanying the logo are four symbols that concisely describe IMBA's work: Speak, Build, Respect, Ride.

The campaign also introduces new print ads with the tagline, "What would we do without trails?" The ads feature mountain bike riders in improbable situations, such as playing shuffleboard, to demonstrate what cyclists might do if there were no trails to ride.

"Let's face it: describing IMBA's work in a compelling way is difficult. Advocacy, lobbying, land managers, government bureaucracy - it's not the stuff most mountain bikers want to hear about," said IMBA communications director Pete Webber. "This new campaign gives our brand some energy. It describes our work in a straightforward manner and presents dynamic ads with an emotional tagline."

To celebrate the new campaign, IMBA is holding a contest on the IMBA website to encourage mountain bikers to submit their own "What would we do without trails?" photograph. The winner will earn a Juan Solo singlespeed mountain bike from Salsa Cycles.

"The true measure of IMBA's work is trail access - our top priority is ensuring people have great trails to ride. But being able to put a fresh, new spin on our image is important, too. We need to catch the eyes of mountain bikers. This is a first step in attracting riders to our movement and enlisting them as IMBA supporters. For mountain biking, more IMBA members means more clout and better riding," said IMBA's Webber.

Based in Minneapolis, Carmichael Lynch has been Harley-Davidson's ad agency for the past 25 years. Other clients include Porsche, Northwest Airlines and American Standard. The 270-person agency is recognized as one of the top advertising agencies in the world. Most of their work on the IMBA campaign is donated.

OK,

For all you riders out there who think toe clips are outmoded, difficult to get into or out of, or otherwise unsatisfactory. First, I’ve never used clipless pedals so I won’t provide the pros and cons of each system. I’m just not crazy about the clipless system. Secondly, if you plan to do big hops and jumps, your skill level is beyond mine and you probably need clipless pedals. But I’ve seen plenty of riders struggle in trying to snap onto clipless pedals and having a lot more trouble than me and my toe clips. The fact is toe clip pedals can be easily modified for ease of use, so please listen to my argument for toe clips.

Several mountain bike magazine articles have been written describing the advantages of toe clips. Among these are a wider variety of foot positions on the pedal, a cheaper system, much less repair and upkeep, never jamming up with mud and debris, plus several other beneficial attributes.

Here is what I do to ease toe clip use. First, I remove the pedals, put them in a vice and with a metal file I grind down on the pointed tips that grip your sole until only flattened nubs are remaining. I select a shoe with either a worn down bottom tread or shoes without knobby type soles, like flat bottomed tennis shoes or deck shoes. But ALWAYS with laces, no slip-ons. Also, for shoes with knobby treads, you can fill in the sole treads with several layers of “shoe goo”. The final effect is a shoe to pedal interface that provides friction enough to keep the shoe in place under almost any riding condition but with enough freedom that the shoe can slip into and out of the toe clip pedal with a minimum of effort. I am 90 percent successful in slipping into the toe clip under any circumstance. And after a bunch of endos and other crashes I have never had my foot caught in a toe clip pedal. My feet just slip right out without even thinking about it, it’s automatic.

Lastly, I can wear shoes appropriate for the season, heavier warm shoes in winter; canvas low cut tennis shoes in summer.

I know a lot of riders think it’s amateurish to use toe clips, but that’s their problem.

I am writing so that anyone inexperienced with clipless pedals will not make the same mistake I did! At long last I bought my new Specialized Enduro. Got it home, rode it around the block, tried track-standing in my driveway... and fell and broke my wrist in two places. The moral of the story is: Adjust the tension down on your new pedals, and if you have not ridden clipless before, do so on a softer surface like a grassy field. Now I get to stare at my new bike for the next three months (at least) with a cast up to my shoulder.

Can someone explain to me what the big deal is about Mountain Bikes? I just bought one and I hate it. It has a lot of rolling resistance with those big knobby tires. I do one lap around my sub and I'm tired already. Going up hills even in the low granny gear is really tiring let alone mountains, LOL. When I ride my light weight 27'' 10 speed with skinny tires I can ride it all day with out getting tired. I feel I can go long distance with it. I don't even notice when riding against wind or up a hill.

I would say mountain bikes are good for rough terrain only with little incline basically flats

Bicycling Wins! Congress Restores Funding

House Approves $600 Million for 2004 Transportation Enhancements Program

The Transportation Enhancements program was restored by the U.S. House of Representatives Sept. 4. The International Mountain Bicycling Association and the America Bikes coalition thank you for all your phone calls, emails and letters throughout the last month. Thousands of bicyclists called their members of Congress urging them to vote for the Petri-Olver amendment to reinstate 2004 funding. The amendment passed on a vote of 327 to 90! The Transportation Enhancements program is the largest source of federal funding for projects such as multi-use paths, bike lanes and safety education efforts.

This victory not only restores $600 million in dedicated funding for 2004, it puts the bicycle and pedestrian community on strong footing for the bigger battle over the reauthorization of TEA-21, the 6-year transportation funding bill.

To learn how your member of Congress voted visit: http://clerkweb.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.exe?year=2003&rollnumber=469

To thank your member for their vote or express disappointment visit: http://www.house.gov to learn their address and phone number.

Thank you again for getting involved to help save this valuable program.

IMBA's Hasenauer Named to Top California Trail Advisory Group

IMBA board member Jim Hasenauer was recently named to the California Recreational Trails Committee (CRTC) the state's highest profile trails advisory group. Hasenauer, who served as IMBA's president from 1991-1996, is one of five members appointed by California Governor Gray Davis to this influential committee, which coordinates trail planning and development among cities, counties and districts.

"The CRTC plays a central role in shaping California trail policies," said IMBA executive director Tim Blumenthal. "Jim has been a national leader in creating trail management solutions for nearly 15 years. He'll strengthen the CRTC and assure that mountain biking interests are respected in key California trails decisions.

"Hasenauer's selection to the CRTC is an indication of how far IMBA has come," added Blumenthal. "IMBA formed in 1988, in part to respond to restrictive trail policies proposed by the CRTC."

California has more mountain bikers than any other U.S. state, and California IMBA members represent about 20 percent of the organization's total membership. The state's large, outdoors-minded population has contributed to crowded trails and challenging trail-user conflicts.

For more info email Jim Hasenauer at imbajim@aol.com or call IMBA headquarters at 303-545-9011.

Dear Everyone,

I've been riding mountain bikes since I was 19... Thanks for your information! I enjoy reading materials from you webpage! It's informative and helps me alot in improving my skills as a do-it-yourself mountain bike rider-repairer... Mountain bike is the cool thing happening here in the Philippines, and it's relatively young... We got a lot of off-road, mountainous trails in the provinces of Laguna, Quezon, in Subic Bay and in all other parts of the country... There's a lot of secluded places but I assure you, your mountain bikes would feel their true worth... We have trails here which needs exploring... keeps you motivated to go on...

Keep up the simple interfaces and cool reviews and tips! Your website is a great contribution to the mountain bike world.

Bike Magazine Produces 2001 IMBA Epics Guide

Bike Magazine, an Above-and-Beyond IMBA corporate supporter, has produced a full-color guide highlighting this year's IMBA Epic selections. The eight-page special section is bound inside Bike's July issue that is now reaching subscribers and newsstands.

The guide features descriptions, photos and other useful trail information. This is the second year Bike Magazine has produced the Epics Guide with IMBA. More than 200,000 copies will be distributed.

Bike is one of four sponsors of the 2001 IMBA Epics program, which is now in its third year. Patagonia, SRAM and Hydrapak are also providing support.

The IMBA Epics program is a way for IMBA to select and publicize great adventure mountain bike rides around the world. These rides inspire the professional and volunteer work of mountain bike advocates and fuel the dreams of riders everywhere. The typical IMBA Epic route takes an average rider four-to-six hours to complete. Memories of these rides last for years.

The eight 2001 IMBA Epic selections are the Berryman Trail in Potosi, Missouri; Telegraph Trails in Durango, Colorado; North Umpqua Trail in Roseburg, Oregon; Borden Mountain in West Hawley, Massachusetts; Dupont State Forest in Brevard, North Carolina; Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, Nevada; Buckhorn Trail in Santa Barbara, California, and Maah Daah Hey Trail in Medora, North Dakota.

IMBA hopes that mountain bikers will add these trails to their "must-ride" lists and travel to these locations when opportunities arise. IMBA members are also invited to participate in this year's Epic celebration events two-day affairs that blend a day of trailwork on the Epic route with a group ride the following day.

Twenty IMBA Epics have been selected since 1999. More info on all of them ‹ as well as details on upcoming IMBA Epic celebration events ‹ are available on IMBA's website, http://www.imba.com.

IMBA Leads Successful British Columbia Mountain Bike Access Summit

British Columbia mountain bikers gathered in Squamish, BC, May 12-13 for the first-ever British Columbia Mountain Bike Access Summit, presented by the International Mountain Bicycling Association, Cycling BC and Shimano Canada.

The goal of the summit was to share and implement strategies to improve mountain bike access throughout the province. The weekend also included social events and plenty of sweet riding. The summit was part of IMBA's ongoing work to support and enhance mountain bike access in Canada.

Attendees shared strategies on how to establish and manage mountain bike clubs, interact with the media and work with land managers to improve trail access. The summit will help inspire the formation of new clubs and the development of new trails province-wide.

Presentations were made by land managers from BC Parks and the BC Ministry of Forests. Government officials from the Greater Vancouver Regional District attended to learn how to enhance recreational opportunities in their communities.

The summit attracted members of more than 20 bicycle clubs, including the Squamish Off-Road Cycling Association, Tricities Off-Road Cycling Coalition, North Shore Mountain Bike Association, South Island Mountain Bike Society and Whistler Off-Road Cycling Association.

"In one day, I learned more about land access issues and liability than all the previous events I have been involved in combined! Truly a great success from my perspective," said Richard Belson of Norco Bikes a leading Canadian bicycle distributor.

The conference was hosted by the Squamish Off-Road Cycling Association and was supported by the Howe Sound Inn & Brewing Company, Norco Bikes, the Test of Metal mountain bike race and Powerbar.

Hello Everyone!

We're winding down our Mexico season here at WorldTrek and we're getting excited for our summer tours in Honduras and Peru! We have one Baja trip left this Spring (May 12-19) and there's still a few spots available. We're offering discounts to fill it up so give us a call! This will be a very laid back trip and the weather should be great! For those of you who have been on trips with us in the past few years it will be the last trip that Blair and I will lead together for quite awhile. He's off to New Zealand in the Fall after leading the Sept. 1-8 Copper Canyon trip.

If you're interested in our incredible Peru Mountain Bike Expedition http://www.adventurebiketours.com/trips.html this Summer we have 2 dates available June 21-30 and July 12-21. It's necessary to book these ASAP as airfares to Lima will become more expensive and difficult to get as the high season approaches. This trip is not to be missed!!! It's also not too early to plan for our Fall Honduras trips (Sept. 1-8 and November 10-17) for the same reason. For those interested in the June 2-9 Honduras Mountain Bike Expedition there is only 10 days left to sign up.

If any of you tried to access our website today, the old address has been down, but should be pointed at our new address by tomorrow (internet provider gods willing...). If you sent us an email today and did not get a response we lost about 2 hours during the changeover. Our new web address is http://www.adventurebiketours.com. At this site you can view our newly posted 2002 trip schedule. Our email remains the same.

Other news: Within a few weeks the new Supergo site will be launched. Check out the Contest page at http://www.supergo.com to win a free trip to Copper Canyon! There is not an exact date for this launch yet...In the meantime, it's still a great site!

WorldTrek will be visiting lots of races and Fat Tire festivals this spring and summer so if you're in the area stop by our booth and say hello. Currently we're planning to be at:

Fruita Fat Tire Festival Fruita, CO April 27, 28

24 Hours of Snowshoe Snowshoe, West Virginia June 8,9,10

Winter Park/Red Cross Fat Tire Fest. Winter Park, CO June 24,25

24 Hours of Tahoe Lake Tahoe, CA Aug. 24,25,26

24 Hours of Moab Moab, UT Oct. 12,13,14

JIMMY BUFFETT PHOENIX, AZ May 22 (no booth, so we probably won't run into you...)

WorldTrek is also sponsoring a team at the 24 Hours of Adrenaline in Ontario, Canada next fall. If you're in the area come by and cheer us on! Team captain is Jim Fletcher.

Give us a call or drop us an email if you want any information or just want to say hello. If you'd rather not receive these periodic newsletters let me know and I'll take you off the list.

Happy Trails!!!

IMBA Announces 2001 Epic Rides

IMBA has selected eight great adventure mountain bike rides to receive 2001 IMBA Epic designations. During the past three years, IMBA has honored 20 rides as IMBA Epics. Our hope is that mountain bikers everywhere will add these IMBA Epics to their "must-ride" lists. We want to spread the word about these special trails because they're the kind of rides that inspire all the access and advocacy work performed by IMBA staff, affiliated clubs and individual members worldwide.

IMBA recognizes each Epic pick with a two-day celebration a weekend-long opportunity to bring mountain bikers together to celebrate our sport and great riding. The first day we focus on trailwork, the second on riding and enjoying the fruits of our labor. IMBA Epics are typically half-day rides that offer great views, varying terrain and the unexpected. These events have the added benefit of connecting local mountain bike clubs with IMBA staff, land managers, and IMBA members to solidify important partnerships. The first Epic celebration of 2001 will be held May 12-13 on Missouri's Berryman Trail. Other celebration events will be held throughout the summer and fall. Visit http://www.imba.com for details.

The 2001 IMBA Epic Rides program is completely underwritten by Patagonia, Bike Magazine, SRAM and HydraPak.

IMBA Organizes First-Ever European Mountain Bike Patrol

Mountain bikers gathered in the Mediterranean town of Finale Ligure, Italy, this spring to attend Europe¹s inaugural mountain bike patrol training seminar.

Attendees of the International Mountain Bicycling Association seminar, held March 9-11, learned mountain bike patrol procedures including first aid skills, bike repair, responsible trail use and patrol organization.

The Finale Ligure Patrol, which is managed by the IMBA-affiliated club BluBike, is the first-ever European mountain bike patrol. The group will begin its work by organizing trailbuilding events and creating a local trail map to promote mountain biking in the region.

IMBA's National Mountain Bike Patrol program emphasizes assistance, information and education. More than 75 volunteer patrol groups provide valuable trail services throughout the United States, Canada and Japan.

The International Mountain Bicycling Association is a non-profit organization. Since 1988, IMBA has been bringing out the best in mountain biking by encouraging low-impact riding, volunteer trailwork participation, cooperation among different trail user groups, and innovative trail management solutions.
