(Answer at end of page) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Earth Day 2000 (April 23rd) found the wrecking crew (webmountainbike) removing litter/trash/garbage from some of our favorite mountainbiking areas. Parking areas were targeted first, then trailsides. Bottles, cans, plastic, oil filters, tires, and doors were some of the items removed. It did not take much time, and really made a difference. Fight back against VOIDheads (see glossary). Help clean up our environment. Volunteer to monitor local streams for habitat/animal loss. Volunteers like myself have joined the Audubon Naturalist Society and are monitoring benthic macroinvertebrates (small animals in streambeds). Data collected is sent to local governments/authorities to help assess fines/penalties against VOIDheads and companies who pollute and exploit the environment. We CAN defend the Earth's forests and streams. Don't be a DUFFsitter (see glossary). Make everyday Earth Day. We belong to the Earth.
