Reminder!!! Greenbrier Challenge AMBC is coming up Apr 26 and is also the Maryland State Championship and a Junior Olympic race again this year! This classic race at Greenbrier State Park near Frederick and Hagerstown , MD , is one of only two regional-level USA Cycling races in the Mid Atlantic Region this year. Beginner, Sport, Marathon , Single Speed and Clydesdale riders do not need a USAC license to compete for regional medals and prizes. USAC State Championship medals and invitations to the National Championships will additionally be awarded to the top placing USAC members. Special Team Parking Available: Racing Teams/Clubs who would like to set up a team area in the parking lot closest to the start-finish area should contact jcarlsonida@yahoo.com with details of how many tent/trailer/car spaces they need, and they will get confirmation by return email.
Rider Eligibility: Pro's and Experts (Cat 1) must have USAC licenses and will be awarded State Championship medals, national points, and the top 15 in each 5 yr age group will receive invitations to the USAC MTB National Championships. All Non-USAC and USAC-licensed Beginner (Cat 3), Sport (Cat 2), Marathon , Single Speed, and Clydesdale riders are eligible for regional race medals and prizes. Additionally, USAC-licensed Beginner and Sport riders will be awarded USAC State Championship medals and recognition on the USACycling MTB page, plus gain USAC national points and invitations to the USAC MTB National Championships if they place in the top 15 USAC-licensed riders in their age group and category. Non-USAC Beginner and Sport riders who place in the top 15 riders at this race can gain invitations to the USAC MTB Nationals by purchasing an annual license prior to final USAC selections in the summer.
